Interesting. You conflate "not giving a platform" with "censorship." I chose not to publish a work I found objectionable. I didn't burn it. I didn't prevent anyone from finding it. In fact, I've told everyone exactly where it is. I just refused to put it into the world on my dime, with my name on it as editor.
I'm absolutely against banning books. I also think there are books that don't need reprints. Certainly not with my money.
You clearly inveigh against thought police. But you're insisting I invest and attach my name to something to which I object. But who are you to say what my name belongs on? You want it out there? Be my guest. Transcribe it, edit it, format it, hire the audiobook narrator, have the cover designed, buy the ISBN, and then promote it.
I have no duty to propel this story into the world. I chose not to do so. Why so mad, then? Don't you believe in free choice?
